This project will develop the geographic
literacy and environmental literacy knowledge and skills of all Frederick County
Public School 6th grade teachers and students through real-world investigations
(classroom and outdoors) of the local environment using a human-environment
systems approach. We will share our problem-based learning module and project outcomes with other school divisions and the surrounding community.
Students are asked an investigative question which required multidisciplinary research and analysis to explore. The concept map outlines components of the investigation.
We will update the links to the left as our three year project progresses.
