Harrison has always had a passion for the environment, spending his childhood summers on the Chesapeake Bay and in forests and fields in Maryland and Delaware. His love of nature and natural curiosity led him to attend Salisbury University for his Bachelor’s of Science and later Clemson University for his Master’s of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors and dedication to ensuring all students have opportunities to learn and explore outside led to a career in environmental education where he worked for non-profits leading K-12 environmental education efforts across several Mid-Atlantic states including Maryland, Delaware, North and South Carolina.
Harrison is excited to join the Education team at Blandy to help foster deeper connections between students, parents, and teachers with their local environment through exploration, experiential lessons, and student-led research.
